2010 resolutions of believing
Hello 2010! Time flies when you let it, huh? Time to get ready for my 10 year high school reunion where I hear that some people still work at the same gas station or they work for Nasa; where they are single or married with 6 kids. Some people don’t look forward to reunions but I like to see progression. Even if you haven’t met every resolution that you wanted to since you left high school.
Rather than making a resolution to do “more of this”, it should be more of “believe in this”. Point in case: I was to go to the gym more (like every year) but it’s I believe I need to work on my waist line, not attend the gym 3 times a week. So if it means getting something to work on from home, then I can go to the gym once a week and work at home once or twice a week.
I believe that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior and I know there are plenty of ministries that need more volunteers to help with homeless, less fortunate families, migrant advocates and global needs as well. I need to get out of my comfort zone more than I currently do and help those that need help so I can stop focusing on my selfishness. I know I need to get back to my roots and start showing my faith through my actions rather than just letting it slide under the table.
I believe I need a healthier relationship with my family. I don’t take the time to call them enough because I’m “too busy”. I need to know at least once a week how the family is doing and make sure I build a better relationship rather than wait on their phone calls.
Those are my big resolutions for 2010 and I know they are attainable because I believe in them and not just think they’re great thoughts if I can stick to them. Make sure you create goals that you believe in.
